DJ Squid

DJ Squid is not the average DJ, as she is a 15-year-old, Barrow-based DJ with 9 years of experience, she’s known for her high energy, dirty sets and Squid isn’t afraid to go heavy. Squid has a passion for so many different styles of music but Drum and Bass has her heart.

She’s played at many places, including:

-A free party aged 5, the gig that started it all, where she surprised everyone by jumping on the decks after having some practice at home prior.
-Another Finefest at age 6
-Resident dnb DJ at Barrow Underground Music Society for Sub:Stance nights
-Everywhere all at once fest
-Support act for Dutty Moonshine big band at the age of 11 for their villian tour at the kanteena
-Support act for Dutty Moonshine big band at the age of 14 for the blood sweat and tears tour at the platform
-Playing alongside Utah Saints and Dutty Moonshine Quartet at the age of 14 at the kanteena

And many more!!, but no matter where she is, she always brings the heat and is fueled by good vibes!

As well as DJing, Squid also plays violin, and bits of other instruments but she loves to pick up new things and learn them. She is also learning how to make music and even makes some of her own songs that she plays live, so if you want to hear them, come along!
